Scent Index was founded by Joy in 2020, following a simple frustration: buying a full-size fragrance without truly knowing how it would wear.

After a blind purchase led to a reaction and an expensive bottle that couldn’t be used, a different approach emerged - one built around trying, understanding and choosing fragrance more intentionally.

What started as a small idea quickly grew into something more. People valued the ability to experience a scent properly before committing, and Scent Index was built around making that process easier, clearer, and more considered.

What we do

Scent Index is an independent retailer of genuine fragrance samples. We source full-size bottles from authorised UK retailers and reputable suppliers, and carefully decant them into smaller atomisers.

This allows you to explore fragrance in a more flexible way - discovering what works for you before investing in a full-size bottle.

Our approach

Fragrance is personal. It shifts with mood, setting and skin chemistry. Rather than guessing, we believe in giving you the space to explore and find what genuinely fits.

Scent Index is built around that idea - not just sampling, but helping you navigate fragrance with more clarity and confidence.
